In 2004, after graduating with an Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies from Raritan Valley Community College, and being the first ever recipient of the Maria M. DeFilippis Paralegal Studies Scholarship Award, Karen started her second career as a paralegal intern.
In 2005, after a year and a half in the legal field, we were lucky enough to have Karen join Newroads Financial Group to help develop the position of paraplanner professional. After only a year with the firm, Karen began her studies to become a REGISTERED PARAPLANNERSM designee, which she accomplished in early 2007.
Karen continues to develop her paraplanner role with Newroads Financial Group, while also assisting the firm’s clientele with their ongoing financial planning concerns.
Karen and her three children, Richard, Matthew, and Jonathan, live in Three Bridges, New Jersey.
